Favourite meals

So let’s get one think straight, I am not a dietitian, nor am I much good at cooking. In addition, my partner and I both work long hours so don’t really have time to go home and crack open a healthy living cookbook and visit our organic greengrocers to create our hipster jar salad for lunch tomorrow. No siree, these meals are pretty much our go to for easy, quick and pretty healthy and low cal. We did try HelloFresh for a while but actually found I was putting on a little weight, even though they were delicious.

Cook

We both love Cook, Cook is a frozen food place which specialises in homecooked tasting food. Simple we love! They do a low cal section but we have also found their meatballs, some curries and chili are both low cal and go great with our favourite pasta and rice substitution, Eat Water. Cook isn’t the cheapest around but the food is perfect and a great cheat go to for dinner parties (not that we have based of their beef wellington as our own).

Edit: Wee little update here this is me from the future amending a past submission, now pregnant (I know how cliche) and Cook also do discount for new parents for their first few months post birth.

Check out Cook here.

Eat Water

I stumbled across Eat Water as a pasta, noodle and rice substitution and it is pretty good! You save sooooo many calories using these instead of pasta etc since each potion is around 18 calories. My partner also loves them. You need to mix them with a sauce like curry or spag bol or create my Singapore noodles below. I wouldn’t recommend eating bland. A couple of people can’t get used to them but for me this is the biggest change to my diet and it is working. A couple of friends have also said it has fast become their daily stable for evening meals and are seeing weight-loss. Def keep out the way from children though as they might not be able to chew and breakdown and don’t freeze them as they go weird.
